One Broker Ambulance raises more than £1,500 for charity

One Broker Ambulance is delighted to share that it raised more than £1,500 during December, in aid of The Ambulance Staff Charity (TASC), having entered a team of four employees into the Thetford 5K Santa Run.

The team initially set a festive fundraising target of £600, which they broke within the first few weeks of the campaign. The target was quickly increased to £1,000, which they also surpassed before running the race on 12th December, raising a grand total of £1,570.

The fun run formed part of a wider Charity of the Year campaign, which kicked off with a £500 donation in June 2021. A further £15 is donated to TASC every time a new ambulance business becomes a One Broker client. Plus, more charity activity is planned for the second half of the year.

The vital funds are used to help the charity to continue with its vital work, supporting ambulance staff past and present in both the public and private sectors, students, volunteers and their families in a variety of ways. From providing hardship funds to covering the cost of counselling and physical rehabilitation, TASC gives back to the people who care for us.

Says Rob Rowley, Associate Director at One Broker: “The Santa Dash team is delighted by the amount raised and would like to thank everyone who helped us exceed our targets. We work closely with the independent and private ambulance sectors and this is our way of giving back to their employees.”

Adds Karl Demian, CEO at TASC: “We thrilled by the efforts of the One Broker Santa team – we can’t thank them enough.

“There has been more demand placed on the healthcare sector than ever in the past two years, which places ambulance staff and their families under increased pressure. These funds allow us to help them through difficult times, supporting their wellbeing both at work and at home.
