BUILDINGS INSURANCE (BLOCK INSURANCE)
Cover for the full rebuild value of your properties, should they be damaged or destroyed. Includes blocks of flats.
PROPERTY OWNERS' LIABILITY
This policy protects against claims brought against you by tenants, their guests or members of the public for injury or damage to their property. It covers the cost of legal defence and any damages awarded.
EMPLOYERS' LIABILITY INSURANCE
If you have employees working for your business, Employers' Liability Insurance is a legal requirement in the UK. This covers claims of illness or injury sustained as a result of working for your business.
LOSS OF RENT/ALTERNATIVE ACCOMMODATION
If your properties become uninhabitable as a result of an insured incident, this policy will cover the cost of comparable alternative accommodation. It can also be extended to pay for additional costs, such as ground rent, and will continue to indemnify you until the property is re-let.
This covers the cost to repair or replace items in communal spaces, such as carpets, lighting, furniture and telecommunications systems.
If your property is affected by an act of terrorism, your insurance can help cover related costs. An incident must be declared an act of terrorism by the UK Government to be covered by this policy.
Policies can be arranged for owner-occupied apartments where Buildings Insurance is not required. We can include cover for your tenants' improvements and personal belongings.
ENGINEERING INSPECTION COVER
If your properties have equipment, such as lifts, escalators or air conditioning, you may be required to carry out regular engineering inspections by law. This policy covers the cost of inspection, plus costs to repair any sudden and unforeseen damage to equipment.
DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS LIABILITY INSURANCE
D&O is designed to protect directors, officers (managers) and key personnel against claims brought against them. It covers the cost of legal defence and compensation awarded.
This is typically an extension of D&O Insurance and protects your organisation in the event that it has to defend its actions in court.
