The British Educational Travel Association held its annual parliamentary reception in early July and Clive Barrett of One Education was in attendance.

The not-for-profit member association was established in 2003 and is now a highly acclaimed network for businesses in the youth, student and educational travel industry. Every year it celebrates its anniversary with an event that aims to not only raise the profile and importance of the industry, but provide a platform for businesses to meet, network and trade, and this year’s 16th anniversary event was no different. Held on the House of Lords terrace, attendees had the opportunity to mingle and enjoyed an opening address from association Chairman Steve Lowy, as well as a keynote address from Baroness Doocey, all against the backdrop of the Thames and with sandwiches, tea and Pimms on tap!

Clive Barrett, Schools Account Executive, said of the event: "It was an excellent opportunity to meet with our contemporaries, listen to interesting speakers and hear about the latest developments within the industry. It is clear that educational travel is a rapidly growing sector with increasing support within the UK business community. We look forward to being a part of that growth"
