What's special about Torque Bike?

    Torque Bike is a bespoke motor trade insurance policy specifically designed for motorcycle businesses and dealers. For a summary of the key features and benefits please visit our products page or contact us for more information.

Can I insure Property, Stock, Liability & Vehicles?

Yes. We will arrange a Motor Trade Combined policy that enables you to choose the covers you require. As a minimum, you must have a Material Damage and Liability sections of cover to enable a policy to be issued.

Can I purchase my insurance online?

Due to the bespoke nature of this product it cannot be transacted online. We are happy to obtain the relevant information over the phone or via email.

Can I have a 'face to face' meeting?

Where possible we will arrange for one of our Account Executives to contact you to arrange a suitable meeting.

What are your office hours?

You can contact us between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. Excluding Bank Holidays

Who will I be speaking to?

Our dedicated motorcycle broking team who understand the industry and the specific insurance covers required.

Which insurer do you use?

Torque Bike’s primary insurer is NIG (underwritten by U K Insurance Ltd) but do also approach AXA, Aviva and Allianz

Will my quotation be competitive?

Not only does our scheme product provide wide policy cover, we believe a competitive premium will be achieved.

Can the policy cover Unaccompanied Demonstrations?

Yes, we are able to provide you with a policy that covers Unaccompanied Demonstrations

Can I tailor the policy to my own requirements?

Yes, premium savings can be made where certain types of cover are not required likewise if you require additional cover we will be able to help you with this.

Can the policy cover 'Rider Training'?

Yes. We would be happy to provide the appropriate cover under your combined motor trade policy – simply ensure you advise us that this activity is being undertaken. A separate Professional Indemnity policy would be arranged to protect the advice given by training instructors.

Can the policy cover ‘Self Drive Hire’?

Yes. A separate fleet policy would be arranged but cover can only be offered if you insure the motor trade.

Can I insure my own private vehicle?

Yes, providing that it is owned and registered to a Director or Partner in the business.

Can I pay the premium by monthly instalments?

Yes, and there is no credit charge for doing so. Options may be available to pay your premium by instalments subject to approval and a credit charge 2.5% (APR 6.4%) Representative.

Who will deal with my claims?

At One broker we have an inhouse claims team, so you will have an appointed claims technician to handle your claims from start to finish.

When will I receive my policy documents and certificates?

We would expect you to receive all documentation within 21 days of policy inception including a One Broker 'Register of Insurance' summarising the policy cover.

What will happen when my policy falls due for renewal?

We will contact you 6 to 8 weeks prior to the renewal date to discuss policy changes and arrange a meeting with our Account Executive if appropriate.

What if my policy is not due for renewal yet, is it worth me still obtaining a quotation?

Simply provide us with your renewal date and contact details and one of our Account Executives will contact you nearer the time.

Will I have to complete a Proposal Form?

No. Your policy cover will be subject to a simple 'Statement of Fact' which will outline the information on which your quotation & policy will be based.

I am starting up a new business, what insurance covers do I need?

In some circumstances we can provide cover but only if you have held a senior position in a previous company and you can demonstrate you have the experience and competence in running the business. We are happy to discuss this with you – please call us on 01603 218232.

What if I am already insured with NIG?

You have two options. We can approach other insurers and/or we can arrange to transfer your policy to us and we can then arrange for you to benefit from having the wider, Torque Bike policy cover.
